Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
