Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by Sunderland before the international hiatus, but can the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a range of guests.

For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Life

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - can West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four games.

A family member advised me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are consistently decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
